I had a bit of a whoopsie and forgot to take pictures after my 170th appointment. Fortunately, both appointments were focusing on the brown feathers on the phoenix. It’s been cool to have yet another color added into the tattoo. Horizakura also used a brown that is so dark it’s almost black. I’m really looking forward to seeing how that color ages over the years.

Not too much more to say here. 4 hours of tattooing between the two appointments. In one of the photos below I opted to suck in my gut as much as possible to eliminate any shadow being cast on those feathers from my light. The shadow wasn’t too bad, but I thought more direct light might help show how dark that brown really is.
